Bibendum Scotland

Bibendum is teaming up with Tennent’s to become its new wine division in Scotland. Alongside all the wines previously available to Tennent’s customers, the Scottish On Trade will now have access to the full Bibendum portfolio.

Tennent’s Head of Wine Bruce Maclean thinks the collaboration signals a great opportunity for new and existing customers in Scotland. “Our customers rely on us to provide great quality wines that represent great value and this will still be the backbone of Tennent’s offering,” he says. “What we are most looking forward to about the collaboration is having access to a broader spectrum of premium and fine wines, that aren’t currently available in the market,” he adds, “in particular, the quirkier, more ‘artisan’ offerings in Bibendum’s portfolio like the fantastic premium Cavas from Llopart and Millton’s range of biodynamic wines.” He added that Tennents will continue to partner with United Supplies in the Aberdeen area.

Scotland’s wine scene has really started developing in recent years, with Bruce noticing that consumers are getting more knowledgeable and more adventurous. “Consumers might be drinking a bit less,” he says, “but they are willing to spend more money on something really good and are definitely starting to experiment.”

It’s an exciting time to be getting involved in the Scottish wine scene, and we look forward to welcoming a huge range of customers at our launch events in September, so watch this space for more info!
