Rich and intense, with pronounced aromas of dates, figs and raisins, roasted hazelnuts, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. The sweetness is beautifully balanced by a lovely refreshing acidity. Best served ightly chilled.
Unusually for wineries in the Douro, Quinta do Vallado’s priority is making table wines rather than Port (though their 10 year old Tawny is one of the best examples of its type on the market!).
