Cavicchioli is synonymous with Lambrusco in Italy. Located in Emilia-Romagna, the winery is a stone’s throw from some of the most famous centres of Italian gastronomy: Parma, Modena and Bologna. So it is no mean feat that the winemakers are seen as an institution and over the generations the wine has played an important role in the local Modenese community.

Founded in 1928 after Umberto Cavicchioli decided to turn the laboratory behind his house into a winery, the innovation continues today. This is a modern style of Lambrusco: lighter and fragrant without any of the shrillness. If you don’t think Lambrusco can be a serious wine, think again.
