How to find the right e-learning for your staff

By Amanda Willsher

Why e-learning?

E-learning provides a flexible and simple way to upskill staff in a scalable way. If you’ve ever been involved in developing e-learning for your business, you’ll know that there’s a vast array of platforms and learning management systems out there to navigate and the choice can sometimes be overwhelming. Not only do you need to choose the right platform, but you might find yourself responsible for selecting, curating or even writing content to train your staff.

Why choose Bibendum as your e-learning provider?

Writing e-learning content can be time consuming and getting it right can take several attempts.
We know this because we’ve been doing it ourselves and honing our skills over the last couple of years!

We use a user-friendly platform called Looop to host the content that supports our generic and bespoke courses. We love Looop for its simplicity and ease of use both for us to present content, and for you, the user. These days we take a blended approach to most of our training – combining e-learning and classroom-based learning for the best results in skills development and knowledge retention.

Best in class!

The success of our training team has always been our ability to respond to the needs of our customers and their staff. The more we talked about e-learning the more we became aware that an e-learning one-stop shop for all topics was key to staff engagement for many of our customers. We went away, did our research and recognised CPL Online as an industry leader in providing digital learning for food and drink focused businesses across retail and hospitality.

What type of courses are available?

Over the past few months we have been working closely with CPL to develop wine courses written by our team of experts. Now any of our mutual clients can host our wine courses on their own CPL hub. Some of ourmost popular courses include Describing Wine to Guests, Pairing Wine and Food, Serving Wine Professionally, and Deciphering Wine Labels to name just a few.

The Ivy Collection has been one of our first mutual clients to take advantage of this and now hosts a range of Bibendum designed wine courses on their CPL hub alongside other topics. If you are a CPL client and want to broaden your training offering with our bite-sized courses, please get in touch.

Sounds great! How can I find out more?

If you don’t yet have an e-learning platform, we can help guide you on which of our platforms is best suited to you and your business needs. Maybe you already have a platform and don’t want to use CPL or Looop? We can still help! If your e-learning platform/LMS supports SCORM content (that just means e-learning files) our courses are available to purchase in this format too.
