Fidora is a family-owned Prosecco producer with a true commitment to sustainability and biodiversity. They are one of Italy’s longest-established organic estates, having embraced organic viticulture in 1974 – this would have resembled what we now consider biodynamic farming today.
Emilio is the fourth-generation winemaker now at the helm, continuing to pioneer a progressive sustainable movement within the estate. In 2019 all Fidora’s Prosecco wines attained Demeter certification, and they continue to pursue full certification across the estate.
At Fidora’s Cavaretta estate, sustainability is more than a philosophy — it’s an everyday practice. Only 25% of the land is planted to vine, with the remainder left wild or dedicated to animal rearing. This balanced approach nurtures biodiversity and protects the natural ecosystem, ensuring the estate’s agricultural future is both resilient and regenerative.
