Clos l'Abeilley is one of the most exciting wines to emerge from Sauternes.
Grapes are grown in a small parcel within the vineyards of Chateau de Rayne Vigneau, a 1er Cru Classé of Sauternes. The parcel is just 20ha, stretching over a hill in the middle of the estate. Chateau de Rayne Vigneau is widely regarded as one of the best wine producers in the whole of Sauternes, producing wines with exceptional ageing potential from its Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle vines.
The wine itself is one of the best value Sauternes on the market, crafted in accordance with the finest Sauternes tradition. Boasting all the typical wild honey and luscious apricot aromas of wines from the region, it has the potential to age for 20 years or more in bottle.
