Blandys

The Blandy family are unique, being the only descendants of the Madeira wine trade's founders to still own and manage their company today.

Throughout Madeira's history, the Blandys have played an integral part in the development of this wine's traditions and reputation. Since John Blandy's arrival on the island in 1808, members of the family have continued to live and work here, continuing in his tradition of exporting Madeira wine to the four corners of the world.

Today, Blandy's Madeira remains a family-owned business, run by sixth and seventh generation Blandys Michael and Crhis, and has over 200 years' experience in producing the finest quality Madeira wines. Every employee is dedicated to the preservation of Madeira wine production traditions, whilst maintaining the highest quality standard.
