The exceptional micro-climate of this south-southwest facing vineyard boasts warm temperatures, long exposure and good wind protection. The vineyard name Turmberg comes from the surviving keep of Scharfenstein Castle. The single vineyard is composed of predominantly stony, fragmented phyllite with dramatic inclines of up to 60 %.
