This wine is from the Tuscany region of Italy. It is mainly made from the Sangiovese grape (pronounced Sanjee-ohvayzee). It is medium bodied, has juicy, black, cherry fruit with some spicy oak.

Producer: Villa Sant'Anna

The renowned oenologist, Carlo Ferrini, is the guiding hand at this venerable Montepulciano estate. The estate is owned by Simona Fabroni who runs it with the help of her daughters Anna and Margherita, and her two dogs, Maxi and Clotilde.

Production note

This all-women team dedicate passion and skill to improving their wines. Fermented in vats with a 20 day long maceration at a temperature of around 30°C. It’s then matured for two years in small and medium sized French oak barrels. After bottling it was left to rest for about 6 months before release.
