Product guide note

This wine is from a region in northwest Italy called Piedmont from an area called Barolo (the grape used to make it is called Nebbiolo). It is aged for 2 years in old wooden barrels and is rich with elegant and complex earthy flavours and notes of violets.

Vietti was one of the first Barolo wineries to export its products to the USA and was also one of the first to select and vinify grapes from single vineyards. Now it's one of the first rank of Barolo producers in the world.

Production note

After harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed and transferred to stainless steel tanks. The must is fermented in contact with the grape skins over a period of 15 days in order to extract maximum colour and flavour. The wine is then aged for 24 months in casks, and then aged in stainless steel tanks for 8 months before release.
