Producer: The Colonial Estate

The Colonial Estate is based in the Barossa Valley and merges a French winemaking approach to classic Aussie fruit. Founded in 2002, the Estate started by buying small blocks of vineyards in the northern ‘arc’ of the Barossa, focusing on 120 year-old dry-grown vines that have never suffered from Phylloxera.

Fermentation takes place in oak vats, followed by malolactic fermentation and ageing in new French oak barrels.
