How to say it

Tee Awah Kabernay Soeveenyon Murlow

Product guide note

This wine is a blend of the classic Bordeaux grape varieties; Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. It has been aged in oak barrels which gives it a sweet vanilla aroma. It also has aromas and flavours of blackcurrant and would be perfect served alongside a meat dish.

Production information

Producer: Te Awa

Te Awa is a single estate situated in the Gimblett Gravels area of Hawkes Bay, New Zealand’s premium red wine producing area. Hotter than Bordeaux and with similar gravely soils to Graves, it is unsurprising that this region produces fine examples of Bordeaux blends with some exciting Chardonnay and Syrah to boot. If you didn’t think New Zealand could make red wines that weren’t Pinot Noir, think again!
