Vivid - Bibendum's Environmental Team
Environmental policies that are bright, clear & distinct
Vivid is the name of our green team which manages all our environmental initiatives. Founded in 2008 and drawing on expertise from across the business, the Vivid team work with our customers and suppliers to promote sustainable practices across the supply chain.
Vivid Charter & Activity
The Vivid name comes from our belief that our environmental policies should be bright, clear and distinct, and the team’s work is governed by our five point Vivid Charter. The team maintain our ISO14001 accreditation and this case study into our use of lightweight glass bottles is a great example of Vivid’s activity.
Mapping Wine’s Carbon Output
In autumn 2013 we launched a new project to map the carbon footprint of a bottle of wine from the vineyard right through to the final consumer.
The big idea is to highlight the areas of highest carbon intensity throughout the journey and explore the options Bibendum, its suppliers and customers have to reduce emissions.
We didn’t launch Vivid to win awards but we’re always delighted when the team gets recognised for its sustainable approach.
We won the Corporate Social Responsibility Awards three years running at the International Wine Challenge (2010, 2011 and 2012) and were also named Responsible/Sustainable Business of the Year at the 2012 Harpers Awards.
As part of our commitment to protecting the environment and fulfilling our legal obligations please follow this link, where you can find information on:

•What role you can take in recycling
•The meaning of labels on packaging.
For householders, the simplest means of finding out what recycling collections are available in your area is by visiting this website. It includes a postcode finder to allow you to locate recycling opportunities where you live and also details how and why materials are recycled.
