Sancerre Blanc Les Monts Damnes Andre Neveu 2014

Product code: 3NEV40B2014

A very pale platinum colour, with gold and green highlights. On the nose, the aromas are both intense and complex. They show great maturity, dominated by fruit, and also reveal a touch of menthol, musk and spices. The palate shows plenty of fullness and weight. The roundness and suppleness marries remarkably well with this wine’s freshness, assuring good all round structure. The brisk finale is underlined by nuances of pineapple and pepper.

Production information

Producer: Domaine Andre Neveu

Part-winemakers, part-cheesemakers, Valerie and Thomas Dezat (the eponymous Andre’s daughter and son-in-law) produce a full, but still elegant, style of Sancerre with plenty of Sauvignon Blanc fruit character. The estate covers 12ha of vines and includes some parcels of very Vieilles vignes, some over 50 years old and the Dezat’s do everything themselves by hand, from pruning and harvesting right through to bottling.
