This eighteenth-century Douro wine estate is actually one of the most modern-looking in Portugal. Although the team uses the traditional panoply of indigenous grapes, its methods are bang up to date and the results are nothing short of sensational.

Production note

The grapes are fermented through the process called “bica aberta”. This process lasts for nearly one month at temperatures varying between 14º and 16ºC. The wine is then aged for 4 months in stainless steel vats.
