The good people at Ponte Miliano not only work tirelessly in the vineyard in the pursuit of creating fantastic wines, they have a real focus on becoming environmentally sustainable. They’ve achieved ISO 14001 certification in recognition of their efforts to cut waste and emissions.

Production note

Using a mixture of both mechanical and hand harvested grapes, once crushed the wine is chilled to control its fermentation using natural yeasts which takes place in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of between 15 and 18 degrees, then remaining on the lees for a further 12 days once fermentation has been completed. Wines or then racked off into separate tanks prior to filtration/treatment and kept in coolant tanks prior to final blending and filtration.
