Production information

Producer: Paolo Conterno

Established in 1886 in Monforte d'Alba, this family run winery has been dedicated to Barolo viticulture for four generations. Winemaking methods are traditional and the wines are classic examples of the perfumed, rich but structured wine of which Barolo is capable in a fine vintage. The estate is renowned for creating wines which are the quintessence of traditional Barolo: rich, powerful, massively structured, and capable of ageing in bottle.

Production note

The grapes are macerated and fermented in stainless steel vats. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels for 24 months before it is bottled. It ages in bottle for 12 months before release.
