Product guide note

An interesting Italian white wine made from a grape variety called Timorasso, a little known grape from Piedmont. It has fruity fresh flavours of citrus fruits, apples and pears, along with some more complex honeyed and spicy notes.

Producer: Morgassi Superiore

One of the leading estates in Piemonte, the Morgassi Superiore winery was created by Marino Piacitelli in 1993 and produces excellent wines from Cortese and Timorasso grapes grown in the terroir of Piemonte’s finest vineyards. Produced in limited quantities, Morgassi wines are some of the finest examples of Gavi found anywhere in the region.

Production note

The grapes are chilled in a cold store for 12 hours overnight after harvesting. They are then destemmed and soft pressed. The grapes are fermented and refined in stainless steel vats, then aged in bottle for at least 4 months before release.
