How to say it

Domain Lapee-air Morgon Marsel

Product guide note

This wine is, in fact, a Beaujolais (Bowjuhlay) which means it is light, very fruity and refreshing. It has cherry and strawberry aromas and intense, crisp flavours of red fruit, especially fresh strawberries and raspberries. It’s made not just from organic grapes but from an even more extreme form of natural farming called Bio-dynamic.

Production information

Producer: Marcel Lapierre

Marcel Lapierre was a leading light in France's natural wine movement until his untimely death in 2010. A hero to many winemakers, he was one of the first to embrace biodynamics, minimal use of sulphur and wild yeast strains. His son, Mathieu, is now in charge and follows the same philosophy: to produce quality wines in good condition for customers to enjoy, setting them apart from the dogma of many natural wine producers. The domaine's Morgon, is widely regarded as one of the finest in Beaujolais.
