Madfish Grandstand Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Product code: 14MAD12B2012

A limpid lemon yellow in colour with enticing aromas of guava, gooseberry, figs and sweet melons. Exotic tropical fruits with hints of sweet herbs and poached citrus fill this plenteous basket on the palate. Madfish Grandstand Soeveenyon Blanc

Product guide note

This wine is made from the Sauvignon Blanc grape which produces crisp, mouth-watering wines with powerful gooseberry and citrus flavours. However, because it’s from a hot country it also has some tropical fruit flavours.

Production information

Producer: Madfish

The winery takes its name from MadFish Bay, which can found near Denmark in Western Australia's Great Southern, an area where, apparently, fish go loco. MadFish are wines with an emphasis on enjoyment and drinkability, producing a number of styles, namely the much-lauded MadFish Chardonnay and Shiraz, the Pinot Noir is pretty good too. The range is designed to reflect Western Australia’s laid-back lifestyle; both the packaging and juice are right on the money.

Production note

Each vineyard site is vinified separately at low temperatures in either stainless steel tanks or old oak barrels. The delicate free run juice is separated from the pressings in order to maintain the vibrancy of the fruit and structural elegance of the wine. Prior to bottling, the wine is blended, fined and filtered.
