Product guide note

Sparkling wine can only be called Champagne if it’s made in the Champagne region in France. The Champagne house of Laurent Perrier is one of the top in the region. This is their standard non-vintage wine and it is lovely and refreshing with fruity flavours citrus, soft bready notes and lots of fine, delicate bubbles.

Production information

Producer: Laurent Perrier

The house was set up by Eugene Laurent in Tours-Sur-Marne, and after marrying Mathilde-Emilie Perrier, the company name was born. Marie-Louise de Nonancourt, a member of another great Champagne family, Lanson, acquired the house in 1938 after the owners died. In 1948 her son, Bernard, who had spent much of the Second World War fighting in the Resistance, took over the business and began the process of rebuilding it after the war.

Production note

The Laurent-Perrier Brut benefits from ideal ageing in the cellars: three years minimum for a 75cl bottle, and four to five years for a magnum. It's balance and natural freshness are enhanced by a light dosage. After the dosage, the wines are kept in the cellar to rest for several months before shipment.
