Product guide note

This is from the Burgundy region (called Bourgogne in French) and is made from the Pinot Noir grape. It is quite light for a red wine and refreshingly soft and juicy. It has flavours and aromas of raspberries and red cherries.

Production information

Producer: Francoise Chauvenet

Francoise Chauvenet was founded in 1853. The house is owned by Bouchard Aine who produce several good value wines under the label. Winemaker Laurent Mairet crafts attractive wines, designed to be approachable - a useful philosophy for Burgundy-philes who lack space or patience to cellar wines for decades.
