This wine comes from the Burgundy region of France, and is made from Chardonnay grapes. It is a full bodied wine with aromas of apples and lemons. On the palate it is full of ripe juicy peach flavours and a hint of oak.

Producer: Domaine Robert-Denogent

Jean-Jacques Denogent is one of the few winemakers in the Macon held in the same regard as those 70 miles to the north in the Cote d’Or. Having taken the reins at the domaine in 1988, he started to build up its reputation, working closely with Marcel Lapierre in Morgon and the great American terroiriste-cum-importer Kermit Lynch.

Production note

The juice is gently pressed and allowed to settle, once the wine fermentation has finished it’s transferred to new barrels for fermentation and ageing for 18-20 months.
