Production information

Producer: Domaine Claude Michot

A small grower with a real passion for his terroir, Claude Michot produces a wine that is very typical of St Andelain - a hamlet made famous by the late, great Didier Dagueneau - in that it has a flinty, almost 'capgun' smoke scented nose and racy acidity. Claude is a pretty busy man though as he does it all on his own - this allows him to be completely uncompromising in his pursuit of excellence and consistency.

Production note

The wine undergoes a traditional cold fermentation and is then matured on fine lees for 6 months in order to preserve the fruit and flint characters.
