Product guide note

The name of this wine comes from the fact 1788 was the year that the first vine cuttings were taking to Australia. Made from the popular Pinot Grigio grape in Australia, this wine has a bit more flavour than the usual Italian style. A dry and fruity wine with flavours of citrus fruits and some tropical fruits too.

Production information

Producer: Circa

Despite the success of Australian wines, there are no native grape varieties, with the first vines brought to Australia around 1788 by early colonisers. The wines from Circa 1788 draw inspiration from this pivotal moment in Australian history to produce modern wines that are distinctly Australian.
