Production information

Producer: Chilcas

Individual vineyards, ecological wine practices (including some vineyards certified as organic) and a new winemaker all add up to an incredibly exciting portfolio ranging from Reserva upwards. Chilcas’ approach is to nurture individual parcels and vineyards to create wines with individual character and personality. The wines are quite different from the vast swathes of generic, branded wines to come out of Chile at similar price points.

Production note

The grapes are handpicked and carefully transported to the cellar for selection. A 4 day pre-fermentation cold maceration takes place to extract the maximum varietal and aromatic characteristics. 100% of the grapes fermented in stainless steel tanks for 30–32 days to preserve aromatic intensity. 100% of the wine is aged in French oak barrels for 14 months.
