Production information

Producer: Chateau Rochemorin

Rochemorin is a historic property in Martillac that had fallen into disrepair when Andre Lurton purchased it in 1973. Lurton, one of the most influential producers in Bordeaux and the man credited with the creation of the Pessac-Leognan appellation, has reinvigorated the estate, replanting 110ha of vines and building a state of the art new cellar. The chateau produces outstanding Pessac wines of both colours but is more famous for its rich, age-worthy Sauvignon Blanc-dominated white.

Production note

Handpicked harvest. Fermentation after settling, in oak barrels at 18-23°C. Maturation for 10 months in oak barrels (35% new) on full lees with ba^tonnage.
