Product guide note

This is a very clean, dry and crisp rosé. It’s a pale, delicate pink and has refreshing juicy strawberry and raspberry fruit flavours. This rosé is dry, meaning that there is no sugar in it. It’s worth bearing in mind that the colour of a rosé does not dictate how much sweetness it will have.

Production information

This domaine has been doing what it does best now for over 200 years – which is to make great rosé. Current chief, Bernard Maurel, is the 7th generation of his family to live at the Chateau and makes typically Provencal wines: pale and refreshing with cool, subtle red fruit flavours.

Production note

After their arrival in the cellar, grapes undergo skin maceration in order to extract aromatic characters of the different varieties. Only Syrah is directly pressed. After the “saignee” the grapes are then gently pressed. Following the settling of juice, alcoholic fermentation takes place slowly during 15 to 20 days at a temperature which is maintained at 17°C maximum.
