Product guide note

This wine from the region of Bordeaux in France is owned by the well-known Lurton family. It is made from the two grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and is bursting with red berry fruit and soft smoky notes. No oak is used to allow the fresh fruit flavours to show through.

A huge, beautiful old country house located in Bordeaux’s Entre-Deux-Mers region, Chateau Bonnet is the home of Andre Lurton, one of the most influential winemakers in the region. Lurton, who also owns Chateau Dauzac in Margaux and La Louviere in the Graves, is the man credited with the creation of the Pessac-Leognan appellation and an evangelist for Bordeaux’s brilliant white wines.

Production note

Harvested by hand or by manual sorting before machine harvest. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks with patented cap-breaking system at 28-30°C. Malolactic fermentation. Maturation for 12 months in oak barrels (20% new).
