Product guide note

This wine is a really good quality Pinot Noir from a highly respected producer called Calera. It has red cherry, plum and blackberry aromas with a lovely supple feel in the mouth and a fresh finish. For a Pinot Noir, it is fuller bodied with intense and complex fruit flavours.

Production information

Producer: Calera

Calera's history goes back more than 30 years, to when Josh Jensen fell in love with the wines of Burgundy and decided to turn it into his life's work. Having won a rowing blue at Oxford, Josh spent two years working at Domaine de la Romanee-Conti and Domaine Dujac before returning to his native California convinced that the key to emulating Vosne-Romanee or Morey St-Denis was to find limestone soils.
