How to say it

Battle of Bosworth White Boar Sheeraz

Product guide note

Inspired by the Italian wine Amarone, this wine is made in the same unusual way. The Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz grapes are harvested and then dried on straw mats before being made into wine. This concentrates their flavour and the result is a rich, complex with flavours of blueberry, spice and mocha.

Production note

Made using grapes from vines with a minimum of 20 years age. The grapes are harvested when flavour ripe, their canes cut and they are left to dry on the vines for approximately 12 days. The grapes are then hand-picked before undergoing a very slow and torturous fermentation in old oak. The drying process on the vine concentrates flavour, sugar and acid.
