Production information

Producer: Adega Algueira

Adega Algueira is responsible for producing some of the most interesting and esoteric wines this side of the equator. It’s interesting to think that the Old World is still capable of throwing up a few surprises using native grape varieties. To say we are excited to import its wines is a bit of an understatement; there are very few producers right now on the same level.

Production note

Grapes are trodden by feet, and are then fermented in barrel with the stems. There is then a short post-fermentation maceration, and malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels during the ageing (for less than a year).
