Golden yellow colour. Hints of gently roasted almonds and hazelnuts, tangy notes (grapefruit and mandarin) together with hints of rhubarb and spices. Intense bouquet of tropical fruits and white flowers.
The grapes are the whole bunch pressed and fermented in stainless steel at 21C max. Lees ageing and malolactic fermentation are carried out in tanks. 2nd fermentation in bottle.
Aged for 7 years prior to release.

This is a vintage Champagne, meaning that all the grapes used to make it come entirely from one year. Vintage Champagne is aged for much longer than non-vintage Champagne and has richer, more complex flavours. This Champagne has fruit aromas of apricot and peach with notes of liquorice, vanilla and ginger bread, it is rich and very intense. The 2003 vintage was a very hot year with a small harvest and wines with ripe, rich flavours.
