Rosé Champagne is an irresistibly pretty drink and this one is no exception. It is a pale, delicate pink with masses of very fine bubbles. The quality of the bubbles is an indication of the finesse and quality of the wine. It has crisp raspberry and strawberry fruit flavours and aromas.

Champagne Lanson is one of the oldest Champagne Houses founded in 1760 by François Delamotte. His son, Nicolas-Louis, a Knight of the Order of Malta, succeeded him in 1798 and adopted the Maltese Cross as the company crest. In 1828 he formed a partnership with Jean Baptiste Lanson, who in 1837 gave his name to the company.
Since March 2006 Champagne Lanson has been undergoing some very exciting changes, starting with a change of ownership. At the helm are Bruno Paillard, of Champagne Bruno Paillard fame, and Philippe Baijot.
One thing that hasn’t changed, however, are Lanson’s unique features, most famously that the wines do not undergo malolactic fermentation to guarantee a fresh, ageworthy style that stands out for all other major Champagnes. This crisp, elegant style means that Lanson can release their vintage wines later than other houses, giving them an extra level of complexity.
