The nose offers strawberry, cherry and blackcurrant fruit, later evolving into cooked prunes, peppery notes and mushroom. It is lively and structured in the mouth with a well-rounded and supple backbone. Tannins and fruit go hand in hand, with great balance.
Handpicked harvest. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
Maturation during 7-8 months in cellar for ageing.

This wine is from the French Burgundy (“Bourgogne”) region and is made from the Pinot Noir grape, like most red wines from this region. It is medium bodied and refreshingly juicy with flavours and aromas of raspberries, cherries and blackberries with some spice.

Domaine Roux Pere et Fils is a family-run business based in the hills of St Aubin, at the southern end of the Cote d’Or. The family’s winemaking heritage stretches back to 1855 and it now owns over 70ha of vineyards, across the Cote d’Or, making it one of the largest independent domaines in Burgundy. The domaine owns vineyards in most of the main appellations, all the way up to Grand Cru.
The current team in charge of production consists of brothers Mathieu (winemaking) and Sebastian (the business side of the domaine) and their drive and energy has seen a notable rise in quality. A fantastic, modern cellar has been built overlooking St Aubin village and the business’ negociant arm extended to include ever more wines.
