Pale yellow colour with a green tinge. Primary aroma of white flowers and stone fruit. On the palate the fruit is immediately present with hints of almond and white peach. Crisp and lingering finish.
Cold fermented in stainless steel with no malolactic fermentation.
No oak contact at any stage to preserve the fruit freshness.

The Côtes du Rhône area of France is more readily associated with red wines but this is a lovely example of the white wines it can offer. This wine has nectarine, peach and apricot aromas. It is made using a blend of grapes commonly seen in the Rhône Valley. These grapes are Viognier and Roussanne.

This is the negociant arm of Domaine Grand Veneur, producing wines under the family name from purchased grapes. The eponymous Alain Jaume is still very much involved in the running of the business but his two sons Christophe (winemaking) and Sebastian (sales and marketing) are now in day to day command.
The cellars are located in Orange, just up the road from Chateauneuf du Pape, and are used to make both the Domaine Grand Veneur and Alain Jaume wines. All the family’s wines are impressive and balance ripe, sweet fruit with classic southern Rhone warmth and spice. In the words of Robert Parker: "The wines are made in a polished, civilized, modern style, but they do not lack Provencal typicity."
