Domaine Henry Pelle is synonymous with Menetou-Salon, a small wine region close to Sancerre and Pouilly-Fume. For years, Menetou-Salon languished in the shadow of its more famous neighbours but recently the quality of producers such as Pelle has led to the region attracting a lot of attention from critics and wine lovers. The domaine farms 40ha of vines, split between two-thirds Sauvignon Blanc and one-third Pinot Noir, and is every bit as captivating as a top Sancerre: crisp and elegant.
