Torr de Monastee-ay
This wine is from a region called Bergerac to the east of the Bordeaux region. It is seen as the cousin of Bordeaux often using the same grape varieties to produce better value wines. This wine is made from Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon grapes, and it is a citrussy and creamy with slight herbacious flavours.

Chateau Monestier La Tour, a 28ha estate in Monestier near Bergerac, was purchased in 1998 by Dutch entrepreneur Philip de Haseth-Moeller. Haseth-Moeller quickly set about restructuring the vineyards and restoring the historic chateau buildings, which date back to the 13th century. Since 2003, consultant winemaker Stephane Derenoncourt and consultant vViticulturalist Claude Bourguignon have helped catapult this chateau to the top echelons of Bergerac with great write-ups in France’s leading guide books.
