Metallico is Chardonnay in its purest form, without an overlay of oak to mask any of its fruit expression. The aromatics, intense fruit character and bright acidity are the goals here. Metallico’s aromatics are prominent pineapple and lemon, complemented by mango and jasmine. The palate has ripe fruit flavours of white peach, guava and lemon. Crisp, food-friendly acidity keeps this special wine refreshing and bright.
Morgan Metalliko Shardonnay
This is an unoaked Chardonnay which is a good mix of clean, crisp flavours and softer, richer ones. As well as flavours and aromas of citrus fruit and green apples, there are also creamy, smoother hints of pears and white peaches.

The winery was founded by Dan and Donna Lee in 1982 and by 1984 they had moved house to their new winery in Salinas and started working full-time at Morgan. Four years after that they planted the grape that was to make the winery famous: Pinot Noir.
Both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir flourish in Santa Lucia Highlands area of Monterey County with its cool climate and limestone soils. The area is also proving very suitable for organic viticulture as Morgan's Double L vineyard shows.

This wine is made with grapes grown using organic viticulture with no chemical intervention and has been certified by an accredited body.
