Another very well balanced Pinot Noir from the Stonier stable. Rich in plum and cherry fruit but with earthy, savoury spice and ripe tannins too. It has weight, structure and fruit in perfect harmony.

The gently de stemmed fruit was fermented in a combination of small open fermenters and large Potter fermenters. Approximately 5% of the blend was fermented as whole bunches.
Pressed and transferred to a mix of fine grain French oak (approx. 10% new) for malo-lactic fermentation, the wine was matured for 10 months prior to racking and bottling.

Pinot Noir generally makes more full-bodied and fruity wines in countries with a warmer climate and here that is definitely the case. There are flavours of warm, spicy cherries and red fruits.
