A deep coloured wooded Shiraz/Viognier blend with a dark plum, spice and chocolate nose. On the palate soft tannins and ripe, dark, sweet fruit notes are balanced by the luscious and refreshing floral overtones. The well integrated fruit tannin and wood combination gives a long lingering and juicy aftertaste.

This wine is a blend of 95% Shiraz with just 5%Viognier. It is a deeply coloured wine with aromas of chocolate and black plums. It has juicy flavours of ripe sweet black fruit and some floral notes thanks to the Viognier. There is a hint of spice and a long smooth after taste.

SAAM is Afrikaans for 'together'. The name captures the essence of the team and their attitude towards viticulture at Eensaamheid Farm. Located at the foot of Perdeberg Mountain range, SAAM unites a group of 40 South African growers who farm vineyards that span the premium growing areas from Paarl to the Durbanville Hills.
In addition to 3000ha of vineyards SAAM also looks after 1000ha of wetlands, sandy and mountainous areas. These are home to many rare protected species of flora and fauna. The farmers here are also members of South Africa’s Biodiversity program.
Ever since Jancis Robinson MW called SAAM “the producer who seems to be doing everything right” in the Financial Times a couple of years back, this brilliant winery has striven to exceed expectations. And what a job it’s done!
