A delicious, aromatic Albarino with an abundance of peachy lime zest fruit on the nose. The palate is fresh and vibrant but with more weight and concentration than most examples of the grapes. Jasmine, apricot, lemon, nectarine and lime are all present and correct.
Whole bunch pressings, cold fermented. 20% undergo malolactic fermentation.

Albariño is the name of the grape used to make this wine. It’s native to Spain and makes light, crisp wine with refreshing citrus fruit and peachy flavours. This wine made from the best vineyards so have great depth of flavours and intense flavours and aromas.

The delightful Angela Martin and her husband Andrew McCarthy run the Castro Martin estate, in Rias Baixas, on Spain's Galician coast. The production of Albarino at the bodega can be traced back 1887. However, the current cellars were constructed 1982, some five years before the D.O. of Rías Baixas was actually created. The Castro martin winery was the very first in the region to be equipped with stainless steel tanks for wine storage, which at that time appeared to many as something of an unnecessary extravagance - this has of course, since become the norm in modern winemaking.
