This wine is from a region in northwest Italy called Piemonte from an area called Barolo (the grape used to make it is called Nebbiolo). It is aged for 2 years in old wooden barrels and is rich with elegant and complex earthy flavours and notes of violets.
A wine with great structure, conjuring up red berries, raspberries, wild strawberries and cherries, with hints of cinnamon and pepper, nutmeg and vanilla, withered violets and roses.

Based within the village of La Morra, Angelo Vglio is a small grower who farms the south east slopes of the village, creating some wonderfully fruity and expressive Barolo. In recent years this area has gained a lot of attention due to its ability to create wines with a very appealing core of sweet fruit, and Angelo Vglio's wines are a great example of this light, sweet and fruity La Morra style Barolo.
