With the climate dominated by long days of hot sunshine and little rainfall throughout the year, the resulting wines are predominantly produced from native varieties, including Tempranillo, Garnacha and Monastrell, creating rich, fruity, full bodied reds, the most popular being the wines of Jumilla.
