Vinedos de la Posada

Vinedos de la Posada is a range of outstanding Fairtrade certified wines. Made at La Riojana, northwest Argentina, their Fairtrade project supports the growers who live and work around the village of Malligasta.

Their co-operative currently has over 500 members, the majority of whom are small-scale producers with less than three hectares of land given to grape production, and come from across the La Rioja province.  Many of the members are the children of former co-operative members and are therefore continuing a family tradition of producing grapes for the co-operative.

It is one of the largest and most successful co-operatives in Argentina today with an annual production of around 4 million cases of wine, but also the world’s largest producer of certified Fairtrade-organic wine.
