Santorini Winery

Traditional Greek winemaking on the island of Santorini

Based on the island of Santorini, the Santorini Winery is run by the Artemis M Karamolegos family, who started wine making here in the fifties. Home to a small, but flourishing wine industry, winemaking on the island is based on the indigenous grape variety, Assyrtiko, plus cultivations of two other Aegean varietals, Athiri and Aidani.

A place of dramatic beauty and history, this unique Mediterranean microclimate and volcanic calcareous terroir creates powerful reds and crisp aromatic whites. One of Greece’s leading producers the Santorini use traditional Greek winemaking methods, alongside some modern technology, creating a lovely selection of refreshing and aromatic whites.
