Mumm
The spirit of adventure
Situated within Reims, G.H. Mumm is one of the largest Champagne producers within the region. It was founded in 1827 by three German brothers with winemaking heritage dating back to the 17th Century and in 1876 Georges Hermann Mumm gave the Champagne House his initials and decorated the bottles with the now famous, Cordon Rouge -a symbol of excellence, inspired by the Legion d’Honneur.
Today Mumm still owns 218 hectares of vineyards in Champagne which are rated 98% on the region’s quality scale and with nearly eight million bottles sold worldwide each year, G.H Mumm today ranks as the third largest champagne producer in the world.
A recent innovation from Mumm was the launch of Cuvee R Lalou, the house’s prestige cuvee. Named after former chairman Rene Lalou, it is sourced from 12 of the house’s best vineyard parcels.
