Mitravelas Estate
Exploiting the potential of the Agiorgitiko grape
Nemea, in Southern Greece, is considered the crown jewel of the Greek wine industry. With the Greeks justifiably proud of the achievements that have been made here in exploiting the potential of the Agiorgitiko grape. There is tremendous agreement that the Agiorgitiko is perfectly adapted to Nemea.
Mitravelas Estate create charming, chewy rusticity in their wines, and despite the fact they are made in state of the art cellars, with floor to ceiling stainless steel tanks, they don’t taste too modern and polished. Similar to the wines of Southern Italy, there is warmth to the fruit that speaks of hot summer days, but a crisp freshness too that only comes from using grapes native to such a climate.
