Domaine des Marronniers
Brilliant value Chablis from a family-owned domaine
Bernard Legland’s Domaine des Marronniers has been a regular on our list for more years than we care to remember. The estate owns 20ha of vines, split between six appellations, with two 1er Crus: Montmain and Cote de Jouan. Bernard produces traditional, ultra-reliable wines with no oak influence that offer excellent value for money.

Chablis = Chardonnay
Not all Chablis lovers realise that their favourite wine is made from Chardonnay. Chablis’ cool, northern climate and limestone soils produce elegant, crisp wines that taste quite different from other Chardonnays. The style is much imitated but nowhere else on earth can successfully reproduce it.
