Ceppaiano

Tenuta di Ceppaiano seeks to produce the best quality wine possible regardless of DOC rules and boundaries, and also without the hype and inflated prices of many of the Super Tuscans.

Located near Livorno on the Tuscan Coast, south of Pisa, the estate was founded in the 19th Century by the Castellani family who still own it today. The family connection is reinforced by the stunning labels which replicate the artwork of Violette Viole, a 1960s Italian artist and the mother-in-law of winemaker Piergiorgio Castellani.

The wines blend Sangiovese with Tuscany’s now favourite foreigners - Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot - to great effect in a style that is both instantly familiar to drinkers but also unmistakeably Tuscan. Our very own Baby Super Tuscan.
